Coupon Policies
It is important to pay attention to each stores policies regarding coupons. Some stores allow certain things and some don't. For example some stores might not allow you to use a manufactures coupon for a product that is of a lesser value of the coupon. Others will let you get the item for free before tax if the coupon exceeds the price. On the other hand, stores like WalMart will give you the full amount of the coupon regardless. Example: Both Walgreens and WalMart have a certain product for $1.00 You have a manufactures coupon for $1.50 off that item. Walgreens will let you have it free plus tax before coupon so you pay $0.07. WalMart will let you have the full coupon amount, but you always pay tax so you end up getting $0.40 back.
